Iqaluit seeks on-call GIS, mapping, and geospatial consulting services

The City of Iqaluit is seeking on-call GIS and mapping consultants to support its Planning & Development Department. - Government buyer: Municipal Corporation of the City of Iqaluit, Planning & Development Department. - Services requested: As-and-when-needed professional GIS and mapping work, including PostGIS and GeoServer administration; spatial data creation, editing, processing, and maintenance; field mapping and GNSS workflows; GIS and asset-management integration; and spatial APIs, automation, custom tools, and interfaces. - Additional capabilities: Print and digital cartography, internal and public web maps, responsive support for routine and urgent requests, documentation, knowledge transfer, and monthly reporting and invoicing. - Selection and workload: The City may select up to three consultants. Assignments will be authorized as needed, and no minimum work volume is guaranteed. - OEMs and vendors: No consulting vendors or product manufacturers are named. PostGIS and GeoServer are identified as technologies the consultant may manage. - Term: Three years, with possible extension by written consent; no option-year periods are specified.

Description

The City of Iqaluit is seeking consultant support services for GIS and mapping to supplement its Planning & Development Department. Selected proponents will provide professional geospatial services on an as-and-when-needed basis. Assignments may include GIS, mapping, cartographic, data-management, or web-mapping tasks authorized by the City. Proposals are due November 4, 2026, at 5:00 PM Iqaluit local time.
