The U.S. Air Force is seeking research proposals to improve space-domain monitoring and operational assessment. - Government buyer: Department of War (DOW), with the U.S. Air Force (USAF) as the customer. - Opportunity: Phase I SBIR/STTR solicitation 26.TX, topic DAF26TX06-NV514. - Requested effort: Develop a proof of concept that uses multi-intelligence and multi-domain data to monitor and assess space operations and support responses to intentional or unintentional threats. - TA1: Process non-traditional sensing data in real time to detect, track, and characterize non-standard space threats, while improving traditional information products. - TA2: Apply automated data fusion, analytics, machine learning, and dynamic command and control to assess adversary capabilities, actions, and effects. - Intended outcome: Support space domain awareness, space operations assessment, and operational decision-making. - OEMs and vendors: No OEMs, vendors, products, quantities, or part numbers are identified in the provided information.
Description
This Phase I SBIR/STTR topic seeks a proof of concept using multi-INT, multi-domain data, intelligence, and information sources to monitor and assess space operations in a timely manner. It comprises two technical areas: detecting and characterizing non-standard threats using new sensing phenomenologies, and automated data fusion, analysis, and exploitation to assess adversary capabilities, actions, and effects. The effort is intended to support space domain awareness and operational decision-making in response to intentional and unintentional threats and situations of interest.
