Description

The Environmental Protection Agency is approving New Jersey State Implementation Plan revisions dated November 23, 2021, and March 3, 2025. The revisions address Reasonably Available Control Technology requirements for the 2008 and 2015 ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards in specified New Jersey nonattainment areas, and statewide 2015 ozone requirements within the Ozone Transport Region. EPA determined that the state’s regulatory requirements for volatile organic compounds and nitrogen oxides from major sources achieve RACT-level control. The action is taken under the Clean Air Act and is effective November 9, 2026.
