VA nationwide contract for Medtronic Stealthstation S8 or equal image-guided surgical navigation systems

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a nationwide contract for image-guided surgical navigation systems and related equipment, software, and support. - Government buyer: U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), including the Non-Expendable Equipment National Program and Equipment Life Cycle Management (ELCM) Program, through the Enterprise Procurement Office. - Requested solution: NX EQ / Medtronic Stealthstation S8 Image-Guided Surgical Navigation System or equal, with related navigation instruments, software, accessories, Autoguide components, and O-Arm O2 configurations. Attachment A contains CLINs and quantities but was not provided; quantities and most part numbers are therefore not specified at the order level. - OEMs and named manufacturers: Medtronic is the primary system OEM. Zeiss and Leica are named in connection with microscope interface kits. - Notable technical requirements: Meet the salient characteristics in the product description; include a minimum 27-inch high-resolution touchscreen, image fusion and real-time navigation, MRI/CT/3D ultrasound interfacing, cranial and spine navigation, optical and electromagnetic tracking, FDA 510(k) approval, at least a one-year manufacturer warranty, and interoperability with VA electronic health records. New OEM equipment is required; refurbished, remanufactured, and gray-market equipment is not acceptable. - Support and delivery: Installation and setup at no additional cost, clinical and Biomedical Engineer training, software updates, preventive maintenance, repairs and replacement, and monthly and quarterly sales reporting. Delivery is FOB Destination, with locations and timing determined by individual orders. - Contract term: A 12-month base period with four 12-month option periods, for up to 60 months total. No contract value or fixed purchase quantity is provided.

Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products prepared in accordance with FAR part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 36C10X27R0004 is issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Image-Guided Surgical Navigation Systems. This acquisition is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference. Line Items: Refer to ATTACHMENT A - PRICE COST SCHEDULE_NX EQ Image-Guided Surgical Navigation System for CLINs, quantities, and units of measure. Description of Requirements: Offerors shall provide NX EQ Image-Guided Surgical Navigation Systems that meet the salient characteristics listed in ATTACHMENT B PRODUCT DESCRIPTION. Only new OEM equipment is acceptable. No refurbished, remanufactured, or gray market items will be considered. Delivery and Acceptance: Delivery is FOB Destination. Specific delivery locations and dates will be identified in individual orders issued under the contract.
