Santé Québec Chaudière-Appalaches is seeking an integrated anti-aggression system for Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis’s psychiatry services. - Buyer and location: Santé Québec Chaudière-Appalaches; Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis, including the psychiatry and child psychiatry units in the Dominique-Bédard pavilion. - Requested system: An anti-aggression and panic-button system that modernizes existing alert capability and precisely locates people during incidents, both within care units and between the emergency department and care units. - Integration requirement: The system must work with the emergency department’s existing system so staff can use one alert device. - Scope: Supply and installation of the system, including integration. No quantities, part numbers, OEM, or product model are specified. - Notable requirement: The notice explains that separate devices or replacing the emergency department system could create safety, operational, and care-continuity risks; it therefore seeks a negotiated contract rather than a public tender.
Description
Santé Québec Chaudière-Appalaches intends to enter into a negotiated contract to acquire and install an anti-aggression system for the psychiatry department at Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis. The project will modernize the panic-button system and enable precise location of people during incidents within care units and between the emergency department and care units. The system must be compatible with the existing emergency department system so staff can use a single alert device. The notice states that the proposed supplier is NORDICOM INC. and that the estimated contract duration is 12 months.
