Experience representing school districts in special education and Section 504 litigation is required; experience with the deaf and hard-of-hearing community and Texas agencies or school districts is preferred. - Pricing and workload: Proposals must provide hourly rates by personnel title or job function. Description
Texas School for the Deaf seeks proposals from qualified persons or firms to provide as-needed legal advice and counsel to its Governing Board for Board meetings and, when requested, grievance hearings within the Board’s authority. Services include reviewing relevant materials, attending meetings and grievance proceedings, advising on governance and applicable requirements, and providing authorized research and follow-up. The contract is scheduled to run from November 1, 2026, through August 31, 2027; extensions may be permitted, and no minimum work or compensation is guaranteed. Proposals are due October 13, 2026, at 3:00 PM Central Time.
