The State of Illinois is seeking an installer to supply and install a Sherwin-Williams epoxy flooring system at the Illinois State Fire Museum. - Government buyer: State of Illinois, Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal (SFM), Administration Department. Work is at the Illinois State Fire Museum in Springfield, Sangamon County. - OEM: Sherwin-Williams is the specified manufacturer. - Products and scope: Supply and install the specified flooring system over approximately 2,700 square feet of bare concrete in four ground-floor rooms. The system includes Sherwin-Williams Resuflor, Resuflor Deco Flake SB / FB-4210 Europa flake, Resuflor UVE grout coats, and Resutile HPS 100 topcoat. A second UVE coat is used if needed for flatness; abrade the UVE with 120–180 grit before applying the topcoat. - Installation requirements: HEPA-grind the concrete and repair or bridge cracks and gaps, including age cracks, cold joints, and the exterior expansion joint. Secondary patching, filling, sealant, and repair materials must be recommended by the primary-material manufacturer, and primary flooring materials must come from one manufacturer and source. - Installer qualifications: The prime vendor must be a manufacturer-authorized, trained, approved, and certified installer; document at least two years in business and five similar projects completed in the preceding two years. Subcontracting is not allowed. - Work conditions: Work is limited to weekdays during normal daytime hours. The vendor must supply and deliver project materials and keep its price firm for the contract term.

Description

The Office of the State Fire Marshal is seeking a vendor to supply and install epoxy flooring in four ground-floor rooms at the Illinois State Fire Museum, approximately 2,700 square feet total. Work includes grinding the existing concrete with HEPA equipment, repairing cracks and gaps, and installing the specified Sherwin Williams Resuflor flooring system and related coats. Vendors must attend the required pre-bid conference and view the site before submitting a quote; prices must remain firm for the contract duration. Work is to be performed Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and subcontractors are not allowed.
