Howard County is seeking qualified contractors for on-call repair and maintenance of its overhead, rolling, and bi-fold doors. - Government buyer: Howard County, Maryland — Office of Procurement and Contract Administration; Angela Sales is identified in the attachment. - Scope: As-needed repair, restoration, servicing, installation, adjustment, replacement, and preventive maintenance at County locations. Work covers door panels, glazing, hinges, manual and powered operators, controls, motors, belts, chains, springs, rollers, tracks, cables, weather seals, safety edges, control panels, logic controllers, frames, slats, and related components. Preventive maintenance inspections require documented reports. - Requested labor and pricing: 400 regular-hours technician hours and 400 helper hours; 50 emergency technician hours and 50 emergency helper hours; and 100 overtime technician hours and 100 overtime helper hours. Bidders also provide a discount on materials and parts from the manufacturer's published list price. - Notable requirements: On-site response within 24 hours for general calls and within two hours for emergency calls; equipped service vehicles with replacement parts and supplies; and an inventory of equipment for assigned locations. Contractors need at least five years of relevant company experience, technicians with at least two years of relevant experience and recognized training or certification (including IDEA certification), technician resumes, and a contractor's license. The attachment also expresses a preference for American-manufactured goods whenever possible. - OEMs and vendors: No product manufacturers or commercial vendors are named. Bidders must identify manufacturers for which they are authorized dealers and those whose products they can service for warranty repairs. - Award and term: The County may award to more than one contractor; estimated quantities may be shared among awards and are not guaranteed. The initial term is one year after approval and execution, with up to five additional one-year renewals at the County's discretion.

Bidders submit hourly rates for technicians and helpers, including regular, emergency, and overtime rates, and a discount percentage on materials and parts.
