Full-Service Maintenance for Lumenis Selecta Trio ND:YAG Laser

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking full-service support for a Lumenis Selecta Trio ND:YAG laser at the Hershel “Woody” Williams VA Medical Center. - Government buyer: Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 5; the equipment is located at the Hershel “Woody” Williams VA Medical Center. - OEM: Lumenis, Inc. The VA is considering a sole-source award to Lumenis for service of one Selecta Trio ND:YAG laser (asset tag 60864; serial number 10140). - Requested service: Preventive and corrective maintenance, labor, replacement parts, software updates and upgrades, and technical support; quantity: one laser. - Notable requirements: Service requires access to OEM-trained personnel, specialized procedures, tools and test fixtures, compatible parts, software updates, and technical support. Lumenis states these resources are available only through its employees. - The VA may consider other sources that can demonstrate the ability to meet the complete service requirement.

*NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE****

This is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source for a proposed award to LUMENIS, INC. for full-service maintenance and repair of one Selecta Trio ND: YAG laser, asset tag 60864, serial number 10140, located at the Hershel “Woody” Williams VA Medical Center, 1540 Spring Valley Drive, Huntington, WV 25704.

The anticipated services include preventive and corrective maintenance, labor, replacement parts, software updates and upgrades, and technical support in accordance with the statement of work. The term of service shall be (Base Year + 4 Option Years). Lumenis’ September 18, 2026, letter states that it does not provide independent service technicians with training, service procedures or updates, or the specialized tools and test fixtures required for repair or refurbishment. Further, the letter states that service may only be provided by Lumenis employees. These are the manufacturer’s representations; the Government will consider information submitted by other capable sources.

This notice is not a solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which the Government will consider. Sources that believe they can meet the complete requirement should provide supporting documentation explaining their access to OEM-trained personnel, required services procedures, specialized tools and test fixtures, compatible replacement parts, software updates, and technical support. The Government will consider timely responses when determining whether to proceed with the contemplated sole-source action.
