Description
The Department of the Treasury, Departmental Offices, proposes to establish a system of records titled “Department of the Treasury .033--Federal Student Aid Portfolio Research, Analysis, Oversight, Reporting, and Compliance Records.” It will enable Treasury’s Office of the Fiscal Assistant Secretary and Office of Economic Policy to administer, oversee, monitor, report on, and ensure compliance with Treasury responsibilities related to federal student aid portfolio activities, in coordination with the U.S. Department of Education under an interagency agreement. The records include information provided by or derived from Education systems such as NSLDS, DMCS, and EDMAPS, as well as Treasury-generated analyses, reports, and compliance records. Comments are due November 6, 2026; the system is effective upon publication, and routine uses are effective November 6, 2026, unless Treasury determines changes are necessary.
