Description

NHTSA will hold an in-person public meeting on December 1–2, 2026, to update the public and stakeholders on ongoing vehicle and behavioral safety research. The meeting will include research presentations and posters, with opportunities for technical questions; presentation slides will be added to the public docket, and panel presentations will be recorded and posted on NHTSA’s website. An Automated Driving Systems Workshop organized by the Office of Automation Safety will take place on the afternoon of December 1 and will include updates on guidance documents and FMVSS modernization, followed by stakeholder feedback. Registration is required by November 24, 2026, and the workshop will not be recorded.
