Description
The Pacific Fishery Management Council will hold a public meeting of its Ad Hoc Highly Migratory Species Fisheries Innovation Workgroup on October 22 and 23, 2026. The workgroup will develop final recommendations for evaluating exempted fishing permit bycatch and economic performance as part of the HMS Roadmap. It will provide a report and evaluation framework for consideration by the Council at its November 2026 meeting. The meeting will be held at the Southwest Fisheries Science Center in La Jolla, California, and will also be broadcast for remote attendance.
