The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is seeking a licensed storefront or comparable commercial space for a Massachusetts National Guard recruitment center. - Government buyer: Commonwealth of Massachusetts, acting through the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM), Office of Leasing and State Office Planning, on behalf of the Massachusetts Military Division (MIL), including Massachusetts Army National Guard recruitment activities. William McGowan is named in the license proposal form. - Space requested: One premises license for approximately 1,000 usable square feet; spaces from 400 to 2,000 square feet will be considered. The location must be in Arlington, Belmont, Lexington, Newton, Waltham, or Watertown, Massachusetts. - Property requirements: At minimum, the space must have finished walls, ceilings and flooring, lighting, and HVAC. Exterior signage is required. Storefront visibility, high pedestrian traffic, direct exterior access, move-in readiness, and potential to reuse the space are preferred. Proposals should describe general and accessible parking, building accessibility and condition, utilities, building systems, security, sustainability, and any improvements or services offered. - License and terms: This is a license of premises rather than a conventional lease. The proposed initial term is one year, with an option to extend for up to 10 years; the temporary license form allows either party to terminate with 30 days’ notice. Occupancy is targeted as soon as the premises are ready. - OEMs and vendors: No OEMs, commercial vendors, or property providers are named. The property owner or proposer would supply the space.
