The Town of Apple Valley is seeking geophysical consulting to identify and rank potential sites for a future municipal groundwater production well. - Government buyer: Town of Apple Valley, Utah; procurement contact: Michelle Kinney, Administrative Manager. - Requested service: One project-specific geophysical survey and subsurface-mapping engagement for the Apple Valley Water Infrastructure Project, focused on the northeastern portion of Apple Valley. No product part numbers or OEMs are specified. - Scope: Review existing data and hydrogeologic information; develop a conceptual model and survey plan; conduct field investigations using technically appropriate noninvasive or minimally invasive methods; process and interpret results; assess uncertainty; and recommend follow-up investigation. Methods may include electrical-field, seismic, resistivity, electromagnetic, gravity, magnetic, remote-sensing, or other suitable approaches. - Key deliverables: Rank at least three candidate target areas when supported by the evidence; provide draft and final technical reports, raw and processed data, metadata, GIS-ready files, transferable model files, and up to two presentations. - Important limits and requirements: Test-well drilling, well construction, and engineering design are excluded. Applicable EPA-approved quality-assurance planning and Town authorization are required for covered environmental information operations. Description

The Town of Apple Valley is requesting competitive proposals for a noninvasive or minimally invasive geophysical investigation and subsurface mapping program to support selection of a future municipal groundwater production-well site. The consultant will integrate available hydrogeologic information with field measurements, interpret subsurface conditions, assess uncertainty, and recommend and rank target areas for further investigation and potential drilling. Offerors may propose any technically appropriate method or combination of methods and must explain capabilities, limitations, assumptions, site effects, validation, and uncertainty. EPA Community Grant funding is anticipated, but eligibility and funding are not guaranteed; work may not begin until the Town issues written notice to proceed and applicable requirements are satisfied.
