Additive Alternate 2 also includes clearing Monument Road and Disney Crossing culverts; the Base Bid includes work at the Monument Road culvert and trash-boom relocation and reconnection. - Channel requirements: 10-foot bottom width, 10-foot depth at the channel midpoint, 2:1 side slopes, and a minimum 1% longitudinal slope. Excavated soil must be reused within the project; importing new soil is prohibited. - Other scope: Material testing, staging and processing sediment and debris, compliant offhaul or recycling, temporary controls, mobilization and demobilization, channel survey and staking, and water-pollution controls. Alternates also require environmental permits and qualified biological services; archaeological and Kumeyaay Native American monitoring are required for specified ground-disturbing work in native soils. - Notable requirements: Daily haul-ticket and quantity records, disposal documentation, and progress photos; staging-area best management practices and storm inspections; protection of the existing deep-water well/manhole; and limited vegetation removal. A California Class A or C-12 contractor license is required. The estimated project value is $2.5 million.
