On-call asbestos, lead, and microbial abatement and remediation services

Nassau Health Care Corporation is seeking on-call abatement and remediation services for its medical and care facilities. - Government buyer: Nassau Health Care Corporation, Purchasing Department, including Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC); work also covers A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility and NHCC health centers. - Scope: As-needed asbestos, lead, and microbial abatement/remediation, including removal, encapsulation, repair, containment, monitoring or clearance testing, cleanup, waste transport and disposal, and related restoration or re-insulation. - Asbestos work may involve pipes, boilers, ducts, roofing, floor tile, plaster, transite panels, and other asbestos-containing materials. - Microbial work includes mold and water-damage remediation, with possible HVAC cleaning and disinfection. - Equipment requirement: At least one Mobile Control Cube. It must provide ceiling access up to 10 feet, fit through a standard 30-inch doorway, and include an internal HEPA-filtered negative-air machine with 99.97% filtration at 0.3 microns. The contractor must maintain and repair the unit, including filter replacement and disposal. - Estimated annual force-account usage: $1,000,000 for asbestos work, $5,000 for lead work, and $5,000 for microbial work. These are estimates for work without applicable unit prices, not stated guaranteed quantities. - Notable requirements: Large projects require a site visit and an approved written quote before a Delivery Order; work cannot begin without an order. Participation goals are 5% SDVOB and 20% total MWBE. - Contract period: Three years, with two optional one-year extensions by mutual consent and a possible extension of up to two additional months. - Named OEMs/vendors: No product manufacturer or remediation contractor is identified. Description

Nassau Health Care Corporation is soliciting sealed bids for a multi-year contract for asbestos, lead, and microbial abatement/remediation commodities and/or services. The contract term is three years, with the option of two additional years in one-year increments.
