NASA Goddard Space Flight Center’s TSIS-2 effort covers mission operations and science-data processing, with the University of Colorado’s LASP identified for the work. - Government buyer: National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). - Named organizations: The University of Colorado Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) is identified as the service provider; General Atomics is identified as the spacecraft mission operations center receiving validated commands. - Services requested: - TSIS-2 mission operations: Develop and validate command procedures, scripts, and uploads; support sensor command and telemetry operations; monitor instrument health and performance; maintain the Spectral Radiometer Facility and TSI Radiometer Facility; and investigate and resolve on-orbit anomalies. - Science data processing and management: Process, analyze, manage, archive, and distribute TSIS-2 science data; maintain processing software, calibration configuration, and algorithm documentation; and support scientific analysis and data reprocessing. - Data production requirements: Produce TIM Total Solar Irradiance (TSI) Level 3 values four times daily as six-hour averages, and SIM solar spectra twice daily at 12-hour intervals. Deliver daily Level 3 products to NASA’s GES DISC with no more than 14 days of latency. Provide Level 0–3 products and associated metadata, ancillary, and housekeeping data for archiving. - Data-management requirements: Maintain version control, traceability, backups, and archives; retain products for the mission life; demote products more than two versions old; and maintain the sensors’ Algorithm Theoretical Basis Document. - Notable qualification: LASP is described as uniquely qualified based on its TSIS instrument heritage, facilities, software, and operational expertise. - Items and quantities: No hardware products, part numbers, or fixed service quantities are specified; recurring data-production frequencies are described above. - OEMs: No product manufacturer or OEM is identified.
