Argonne seeks specialty tooling, materials, and manufacturing services

Argonne National Laboratory’s Custom Manufacturing Solutions - Central Shops is seeking an as-needed supplier for specialty tooling, materials, and manufacturing support under RFQ 7-B187-Q-00005-00. - Government buyer: Argonne National Laboratory, operated by UChicago Argonne, LLC; the requesting office is Custom Manufacturing Solutions - Central Shops (CMS-CS), under the Department of Energy. - OEMs named: Kennametal, Aloris, Kurt, Parker Hannifin, Acuraflex, Niagara Cutter, and SPI. The schedule identifies these companies but does not assign every listed part number to a specific manufacturer. - Products requested: Tooling and materials including carbide inserts, a tool post holder, cutoff tool, power drawbar repair kits, spherical segments, an O-ring dovetail cutter, and collets. See the line-item list for quantities and part numbers. - Services requested: As-needed labor and service hours, sourcing of specialty tooling and hard-to-find raw materials, inventory management, tool sharpening and reconditioning, precision calibration, surface finishing, and outside/custom manufacturing. - Notable requirements: The purchasing arrangement is time-and-materials, with work and supplies provided as needed. Suppliers should provide written quotations within 48 hours, preferably within 24 hours, meet quoted lead times, and supply authentic commercial-quality products and services. Pricing is requested for the base period and two one-year options, including a markup for materials not listed in the price schedule. - Quotation support: Provide a published price list or redacted invoice to support price reasonableness. Tariff charges, if applicable, are to be included in quoted unit prices.

Proposal will be considered incomplete if any of the requested information, listed below, is not provided.

Provide a published price list or a redacted invoice showing pricing for the quoted, to prove price reasonableness. Will you accept Pre-Pay and Add Shipping Charges to Invoice (FOB Destination for Domestic or DAP Destination for International )? If any tariff charges will be applied to this order, the charge must be included in the unit price on the quote. We are unabl e to accept a tariff charge as a separate line item, as the Department of Energy considers this an unallowable cost. Are there any available discounts for DOE or does this order fall under GSA contract pricing (if yes, please include contract # and expiration date)?
