Amtrak is seeking vendors for bus bridge service between Charlottesville, Virginia, and Washington, DC, and between Roanoke, Virginia, and Washington, DC, from October 27, 2026, through January 4, 2027. The service requires two ADA-lift-equipped motorcoaches, each with seating for 52 passengers and two wheelchair tiedown spaces. Vendors are to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) and Statement of Qualifications (SOQ), potentially qualifying them for an Invitation for Bid (IFB) on a services contract. Amtrak may request an additional 30-day option period in writing.
