Engineering Design Services for the Bloomington Septic-to-Sewer Expansion

San Bernardino County is seeking engineering design services for the CSA 70 BL Bloomington Septic-to-Sewer Expansion Project. - Government buyer: San Bernardino County Department of Public Works – Special Districts, for County Service Area 70 BL (Bloomington). - Requested services: Civil, sewer collection/treatment/disposal, and geotechnical engineering design, plus project management, studies, survey and right-of-way work, environmental and grant documentation, public outreach, construction documents, and potential construction-phase support. - Project scope: Design proposed 8-, 12-, and 18-inch sewer mains, manholes, cleanouts, property-line lateral stubs, appurtenant structures, and needed easements. The system is planned to connect to existing sewer infrastructure serving the City of Rialto. - Planning assumptions: 15 geotechnical boring locations, 50 pothole locations, two public workshops, and two public update sessions. Optional construction support pricing assumes 24 meetings, 15 submittals, and 20 requests for information. - Additional survey work: Roadway and cross-street topographic surveys must follow San Bernardino County standards, including 50-foot cross sections, specified survey control, AutoCAD hybrid grid-ground deliverables, and applicable right-of-way linework. - Notable requirements: The Project Manager must be a California-licensed Professional Engineer. Prevailing-wage and Department of Industrial Relations registration requirements may apply.
