Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District is seeking a qualified provider to maintain its Bell UH-1H helicopter fleet. - Government buyer: Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District (Metro Fire), Procurement/Purchasing Division. Work is primarily at Metro Fire Station 115 in McClellan Park, California; off-site work may be directed. - OEM: Bell — the manufacturer of the four UH-1H helicopters identified in the solicitation. No maintenance contractor or reseller is named. - Fleet identified: - 1 Bell UH-1H, N114FD (Copter 1) - 1 Bell UH-1H, N113FD (Copter 2) - 1 Bell UH-1H, N115FD (Copter 3) - 1 Bell UH-1H, N116FD (Copter 4), a support aircraft awaiting fire-suppression and rescue retrofits - Services requested: Maintenance, inspection, repair, overhaul, alteration, and modification, including scheduled and emergency work, recovery support, maintenance records, and return-to-service support. The District may add or remove aircraft as mission needs change. - Staffing and operating requirements: Two full-time FAA-certified Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Lead Maintenance Technicians, with technician coverage seven days per week. The contractor must be an FAA Part 145 Repair Station and follow FAA standards and the District’s maintenance schedule. Requirements also cover safety and quality practices, records, and parts and tool accountability. - Pricing requested: Lead-technician standard, overtime, and double-time hourly rates for the three-year base term and two optional extension years. Proposers must disclose applicable fees, surcharges, and exclusions. - Term: Three-year base agreement with up to two additional 12-month extensions. A transition period of up to 90 days after expiration or termination may be arranged by mutual agreement.
Description
The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District is soliciting proposals for helicopter maintenance, inspection, repair, overhaul, alteration, and modification services. Services will primarily be performed at Metro Fire Station 115 in McClellan Park, California. Proposers must be an FAA Part 145 Repair Station to be eligible. The District may add or remove rotorcraft during the agreement as mission needs dictate.
