USDA Forest Service ceiling replacement and installation at Salem and Doniphan offices

The U.S. Forest Service is seeking ceiling replacement and installation work at two Mark Twain National Forest offices in Missouri. - Government buyer: U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), U.S. Forest Service, Mark Twain National Forest; solicitation office identified as USDA-FS CSA East 13. - Work locations and scope: Salem Ranger District Office in Dent County and Doniphan/Eleven Point Ranger District Office in Ripley County. The contractor provides labor, materials, demolition, installation, protection, framing, cleanup, and debris disposal. - Products and OEM: Armstrong World Industries products are specified, or approved equals. Salem work calls for Armstrong Fine Fissured acoustic tiles with a surface-mounted direct-mount grid. Doniphan work calls for Armstrong Tundra tiles with a heavy-duty suspension grid such as Armstrong Prelude XL. - Approximate ceiling areas: Salem main floor, 3,300 SF; Salem basement, 732 SF; Doniphan Keith Hollands office, 165 SF; small conference room, 106 SF; hallway to boiler room, 85 SF. Total approximate area: 4,388 SF. - Key requirements: White, 5/8-inch-thick tiles with NRC of at least 0.55 and CAC of at least 30. Salem tiles are flat/standard square lay-in, 15/16-inch; Doniphan tiles are beveled Tegular, 15/16-inch, and fire-rated in the Keith Hollands office. Doniphan requires a ceiling plan for approval and a 30-year limited ceiling systems warranty. Secure light fixtures independently, coordinate around mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, verify field dimensions, and provide two weeks' lead time before work so the Government can move furniture and cabinets. - Schedule quantities: Three firm-fixed-price schedule items, each quantity one lump sum: Salem main floor demolition and installation (0001), Salem basement demolition and installation (0002), and Doniphan ceiling tile installation (0003). - Performance: Begin within 14 calendar days after notice to proceed and complete within 30 calendar days after notice to proceed, including final cleanup. Work is generally during weekday business hours unless otherwise coordinated. - Estimated construction value: $25,000–$100,000.

Description

This is a solicitation for commercial construction prepared in accordance with RFO Parts 12, and 36. 

Solicitation number 12445527Q0003 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the removal and replacement of ceiling tiles on the main floor and basement of the Salem Ranger District office; and installation of ceiling tiles and track system at the Eleven Point Ranger District office in Donaphan.

This acquisition  is set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 238390 Other Building Finishing Contractors.  The small business size standard is $19,000,000.00.  This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
