The Department of the Navy’s NAWCAD Materials Engineering Division seeks a complete Keyence VK-X4000 optical profiling microscope system and accessories. - Government buyer: Department of the Navy, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Materials Engineering Division; point of contact: Annie Bohmann. - Primary OEM: Keyence Corp., the intended sole-source manufacturer of the requested VK-X4000 system. Lenovo is identified for the monitor model. - Requested system: One VK-X4000 system, with one of each listed component, accessory, and included support item; part numbers and descriptions are detailed below. - Notable requirements: Red-laser profilometer head, image-stitching capability, and analysis compatibility with .vk4 files. The package includes a five-year extended warranty. Any responding reseller must be an authorized Keyence distributor and preserve the manufacturer’s warranty. - Delivery: Requested by the solicitation’s stated delivery deadline; no separate service period or option periods are specified.

Description

Solicitation N0042127Q1004 is issued as an intent to sole source.   The Government under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) FAR Part 12 intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis, and to solicit and award the proposed purchase order on a sole source basis with Keyence Corp., under the authority implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 Keyence Corp. is only available directly from the manufacturer.

Offerors must be currently registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to submission of an offer to be considered for award of any DoD contract. This may be accomplished electronically at http://www.sam.gov.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes.  A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.  Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  The government will not pay for any information received.

 If a bid is received from another vendor, you must be an authorized distributer with Keyence Corp and will need to be able to keep Keyence Corp Warranty.
