Description
The City of Newport is seeking proposals from qualified Kentucky-licensed electrical contractors for turnkey installation of infrastructure and related site improvements for one Level 3 and two Level 2 EV charging stations at 998 Monmouth Street. The contractor is to provide a complete operational installation, including labor, equipment, excavation, concrete, electrical service infrastructure, permits, inspections, utility coordination, restoration, and testing, except work expressly assigned to the City or Duke Energy. The City will furnish the charging stations; the contractor will install, connect, and assist with commissioning them. Proposals are due October 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM, and must be submitted sealed to the Office of the City Clerk.
