Description

The Consumer Product Safety Commission submitted a request to the Office of Management and Budget to extend approval of information collection requirements associated with the Safety Standard for Button Cell or Coin Batteries and Consumer Products Containing Such Batteries. The collection covers manufacturers and importers of button cell or coin batteries and certain consumer products containing or designed to use those batteries. The standard includes child-resistant battery compartment performance requirements and labeling requirements intended to reduce injuries and deaths from children ingesting these batteries. Comments on the information collection are due November 4, 2026.
