The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources is seeking a custom-equipped nearshore research boat, trailer, and delivery for its Marine Resources Research Institute. - Buyer and destination - Buyer: South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR), Marine Resources Research Institute. - The boat and trailer are to be delivered to the SCDNR Waddell Mariculture Center in Bluffton, South Carolina. - Requested items - One new, custom-built fiberglass V-hull research boat, 21.5–23 feet long, with a minimum 96-inch beam, designed for operation up to 30 miles offshore. - One aluminum marine-grade trailer with a minimum 4,500-pound capacity. - One separately priced delivery service for the completed boat and trailer. - Boat equipment and requirements - The layout must accommodate a 45-by-72-inch fish tank holding up to 400 gallons; internal components must account for tank weight up to 3,000 pounds, with flexible pipe routing to the stern. - Includes console with windshield and grab rail, leaning post, hydraulic steering, at least 60-gallon fuel capacity, trim tabs, foam flotation, rubber rub rail, specified rod holders and lifting/towing attachments, and 316 stainless-steel hardware. No T-top is required. - Includes electrical and fishing equipment such as a six-gang switch panel, bilge pump rated at least 1,500 GPH, dual batteries with cutoff switch, trolling-motor wiring and plugs, breakers, and a bow quick-release mount for a 36 V, 120 lb-thrust trolling motor. - Lowrance Elite FS9 or equivalent chartplotter/depth finder with sidescanning transducer and sacrificial mounting plate is specified.
