As-needed highway landscape maintenance for East and West Hawaii

The State of Hawaii Department of Transportation, Highways Division, Hawaii District, is seeking on-call landscape maintenance for highway areas on the Island of Hawaii. - Buyer: State of Hawaii Department of Transportation, Highways Division, Hawaii District. - Scope: As-needed maintenance of landscaped areas along and within highway rights-of-way in two service areas: Area 1 (East Hawaii) and Area 2 (West Hawaii). Work includes mowing, edging, weeding, and debris and litter removal. - Requested services and estimated quantities: Each area includes 100,000 linear feet of guardrail mowing, 100,000 square yards of mowing, 100 acres of mowing, and 100 acres of debris and litter removal without mowing. Each area also includes solid hazardous-waste disposal by incident, with no quantity specified. - Equipment and work requirements: Guardrail mowing requires a 5-foot-wide clearance and may use a weed eater, push mower, or equivalent. Square-yard mowing may use a weed eater, push mower, or equivalent; acreage mowing may use a riding mower, tractor, or equivalent. The State of Hawaii Department of Transportation, Highways Division, is seeking maintenance of landscaped areas at designated locations along and within the highway right-of-way on the Island of Hawaii. The work is on an open-end, as-needed basis and includes separate areas in East and West Hawaii. Bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii Specialty Contractors C-27 license at the time of bidding and submit complete proposals through HIePRO.
