Beaufort County and neighboring communities are seeking a qualified firm to assess options for regional water and sewer utility partnerships.

Description

The Mid-East Commission, on behalf of Beaufort County, North Carolina, and its municipal partners, is requesting qualifications from engineering and planning firms for planning and engineering services. The study will examine opportunities to share resources and improve the viability of participating local governments’ water and sewer systems, including through capacity and interconnection analysis, GIS mapping, and system management partnership analysis. Work includes supporting meetings and a public open house, developing recommendations, and assisting with a final study document. The selected firm is expected to provide services from December 2026 through November 2027.
