Description
The State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources proposes to convey approximately 5,805 acres of state-owned land on the east side of Kachemak Bay, about 23 miles northeast of Homer, to the Alaska Energy Authority at no cost. The proposed noncompetitive public and charitable use conveyance is intended to support continued operation and development of the Bradley Lake Hydroelectric Project and facilitate a project expansion. A related action proposes closing the parcel to new mineral entry. Written comments on the Preliminary Decision and/or Draft Mineral Order were due by 5:00 PM on November 3, 2026.
