Escambia County is seeking a qualified insurance broker to manage coverage and risk-management support across its public-sector operations. - Government buyer: Escambia County Purchasing Department, for the Office of Risk Management. The program serves the Board of County Commissioners, elected Constitutional Officers—including the Clerk of Circuit Court/Comptroller, Property Appraiser, Supervisor of Elections, and Tax Collector—and the Santa Rosa Island Authority. - Service requested: One general-lines insurance agent/broker to act as agent of record, obtain and maintain coverage through qualified carriers, and provide ongoing brokerage and risk-management services. No insurance carriers, OEMs, or other vendors are named. - Coverage needs: Commercial property, flood, cyber liability, marine hull and liability, crime, boiler and machinery, employee dishonesty, law enforcement liability, medical malpractice, airport owners and operators liability, statutory death benefits, environmental liability, media liability, workers’ compensation, public officials liability, drone liability, and other insurance lines or bonds as needed. - Scope and scale: More than 2,100 employees, 400 locations, 600 vehicles, significant equipment, and total insured value exceeding $550 million. - Brokerage and support requirements: Annual physical property inspections; renewal planning and estimates; coverage quotes; claims advocacy and loss-control support; audits, analytics, property valuations, stewardship reporting, training, carrier and third-party administrator liaison, market and emerging-risk updates, and access to global insurance markets. The broker must provide an eight-hour response for insurance consultation, monthly risk-management meetings, and weekly or as-needed phone or email support. Renewal information gathering and estimates are required well in advance of renewals. - Notable qualifications: At least 10 years in business, revenue of at least $500 million, demonstrated experience with public entities and large clients having at least $500 million in total insured value, and ability to access Pensacola within eight hours of notification. - Term: Initial term of 60 months from contract execution; mutual-agreement renewals may extend the total term to 120 months, with a possible extension of up to six additional months.

Escambia County is seeking qualifications from insurance agents or brokers to provide brokerage services and serve as agent of record for the County’s insurance program. The selected firm will help obtain and maintain coverage with qualified carriers and support Risk Management, including claims, audits, service evaluations, renewal planning, and coverage quotes. Coverage may include commercial property, flood, cyber liability, workers’ compensation, public officials liability, and other insurance or bonds needed to protect the County’s financial interests.
