Year-Round Grounds Maintenance and Snow and Ice Management for the St. Joseph Medical Building

The University of Missouri is seeking a contractor to maintain grounds and provide snow and ice response at its St. Joseph Medical Building. - Government buyer: University of Missouri, through UM Procurement, in coordination with University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC) Campus Facilities Management. - Location and scope: St. Joseph Medical Building in St. Joseph, Missouri; approximately 38,000 square feet of grounds, including about 5,000 square feet of flower and landscape beds. - Requested services: Year-round turf and landscape maintenance, irrigation operation and routine maintenance, seasonal cleanup, debris removal, and on-call or weather-event snow and ice management for designated pedestrian and vehicle areas. - Pricing requested: Standard and overtime hourly rates for eight labor categories; snow-removal rates per event for four snowfall-depth ranges and pretreatment; a materials markup; and proposed increases for the two optional renewal years. - Notable requirements: At least five years of relevant experience, a business location within 10 miles, and three comparable references. Proposals should explain service methods, quality control, and snow-response procedures. Safe, accessible medical-facility routes and emergency access must be maintained. Major tree work and extensive irrigation repairs require prior authorization. - OEMs and vendors: No product manufacturers, OEMs, or commercial service vendors are named. The University of Missouri is requesting proposals for comprehensive year-round grounds maintenance at the St. Joseph Medical Building, including turf and landscape care, irrigation maintenance, seasonal cleanup, and snow and ice management. The contractor must provide the labor, supervision, equipment, materials, transportation, and other items needed to maintain the property in a safe, attractive, and properly functioning condition. The site is approximately 38,000 square feet, including about 5,000 square feet of landscape and flower beds, at 100 Mosaic Court, St. Joseph, Missouri. Proposals must be submitted through the University of Missouri System electronic bidding platform; a mandatory site visit is scheduled for October 7, 2026.
