SCADA communications upgrades for Daajing Giids water and public-works sites

The Village of Daajing Giids is seeking upgrades to communications and monitoring at its water-system and public-works sites. - Buyer: Village of Daajing Giids. - Named OEMs and products: Fortinet FortiWifi 50G-SFP and FortiGate Rugged 60G firewalls; SignalFire reservoir kiosk; VTScada software licensing, made by Trihedral Engineering Limited. - Products requested: FortiWifi 50G-SFP firewalls for Honna River Water Treatment Plant and Public Works Yard; a FortiGate Rugged 60G firewall for River Intake; a SignalFire kiosk; and new VTScada licensing. Quantities and part numbers are not provided. - Services and requirements: Install and commission networking equipment at the named sites; connect the reservoir kiosk to access-vault pressure transmitter signals; commission an MQTT broker; program the existing PLC to read a 4–20 mA SignalFire signal; and verify East Reservoir PIT-01 performance. West Reservoir PIT-02 is pre-wired for future use only. - Scope qualifications: SignalFire kiosk work is optional. FortiGuard and FortiCare licenses are owner-supplied and excluded. New PLC installations and upgrades are excluded.

Description

The work includes installing and commissioning networking equipment, including firewalls, switches, and satellite dishes, at Honna River WTP, Intake, and Public Works Yard. It also includes a SignalFire kiosk at the reservoir, connecting it to access-vault pressure transmitter signals, commissioning an MQTT broker, and programming the PLC to read a 4–20 mA SignalFire signal. VTScada software licensing must be newly provided under the contract, while FortiGuard/FortiCare licenses are owner-supplied and excluded. New PLC installations or upgrades are not in scope; optional-work prices are discretionary and excluded from tender-price comparisons.
