HAME is seeking a multidisciplinary architectural and engineering team to redevelop the Urban Indian Center of Salt Lake’s site into a mixed-use campus in Salt Lake City. - Government buyer and partners: Housing Assistance Management Enterprise (HAME), an instrumentality of the Housing Authority of Salt Lake City (HASLC), through its Procurement and Contracts office, in partnership with the Urban Indian Center of Salt Lake (UICSL). - Project: Redevelopment of UICSL’s existing site at 120 W. 1300 S. in Salt Lake City, Utah, with approximately 55–85 affordable housing units, a multi-story community-services building, and related community and outdoor spaces. - Services requested: Feasibility studies and site assessments; programming and master planning; conceptual, schematic, and detailed design; construction documents; cost estimating and budget support; permitting and regulatory coordination; bid preparation and contractor-selection support; construction administration, inspections, quality control, and review of RFIs and change orders; and post-construction evaluation, as-built documentation, closeout, and warranty support. - Pricing basis: Fee proposals should use an assumed development of 70 housing units and approximately 10,000 square feet of community-center space. - Notable requirements: Relevant experience with Native or Indigenous cultures, affordable and mixed-use housing, and community engagement is emphasized. The envisioned mixed-use project includes approximately 55 to 85 affordable housing units, a multi-story community services building, and related community and outdoor spaces. Services include feasibility and site analysis, planning and design, cost estimating, permitting, bidding support, construction administration, and post-construction services.
