Bidders must identify the applicable OEMs/brands for eligible Internal Connections offerings; cabling proposals must not cite a specific cabling brand or manufacturer. - Products requested: Eligible wireless access points, antennas and related components, Ethernet switches, wireless controllers, routers, caching and firewall components, UPS/battery backup, racks, structured copper and fiber cabling, and necessary eligible software and licenses. No part numbers or fixed site quantities are provided; listed quantities are determined through later site-specific mini-bids. - Services requested: Equipment installation, activation and initial configuration; structured cabling installation, testing and verification; Managed Internal Broadband Services (MIBS); and Basic Maintenance of Internal Connections (BMIC), including eligible repairs, technical support, configuration changes and software updates. - Notable requirements: Hardware must be new and OEM-supported for at least five years. New copper cabling must be Category 6A UTP; fiber is specified for runs over 90 meters from the closest aggregation switch or where speeds above 1 Gbps are required. Cabling offers must distinguish indoor and outdoor work, products and labor/pricing. Site-specific quantities and scopes are established through later mini-bids; no quantities are guaranteed.

Description

NCDPI is seeking to establish one or more statewide convenience contracts with qualified E-Rate service providers so participating North Carolina public school units and eligible libraries can procure Category Two products and services through subsequent mini-bids. Eligible offerings include wireless access points and related equipment, switches and routing equipment, UPS/battery backup, firewalls, caching, software and licenses, cabling and installation, managed internal broadband services, maintenance, and technical support. No specific quantities are guaranteed; the procurement uses a unit quantity of one to establish contract pricing, with up to 3,000 potential entities and actual purchases varying over the contract period. Site-specific quantities, configurations, needs, and work statements will be defined by participating entities in subsequent mini-bids.
