UQAM is seeking bids to replace the end-of-life elevating platform serving the Galerie UQAM in Pavilion J, transporting materials and artworks between the gallery’s upper and lower levels. The work includes specialized vertical-transportation installation, interlocks and controls, testing, and an operating and maintenance plan, along with architectural demolition and construction, surface repairs, a fenced enclosure, door modifications, and a new stair. Electromechanical work includes adapting electrical supplies and panels, adding or adapting controller circuits, and relocating panels; certain existing equipment must also be recovered and reinstalled. The building will remain occupied, so the contractor must minimize disruption, maintain safe access, and coordinate work and service interruptions outside normal occupancy hours where required.
