USDA Forest Service is conducting market research for short-term office rental space in the Milwaukee area. - Requirement: Approximately 30,000 square feet for Forest Service personnel, including 81 cubicles (up to 48 square feet each), 18 private offices (up to 120 square feet each), one conference room for about 20 people, and two for about 10 people each. - Supporting spaces: Break area with sink and appliance space; mail, copy, and supply rooms; server/IT room; and approximately 5,000 square feet of storage. Storage must include 100 square feet for lithium-ion batteries and 350 square feet of keyed, secured space accessible from inside and outside the building. - Building capabilities: Secure parking for six vehicles, internet and power wiring to desks, and capacity for video conferencing and digital technologies. At least three private offices must have locking solid wood-core doors. Phone-booth-style meeting spaces and showers are optional. - Location: Downtown Milwaukee is preferred. Other locations in Milwaukee or Waukesha County may be considered if they better meet agency needs and could reduce costs. - Response information: Interested property owners should provide the property address and description, available square footage and parking, photographs, and an indication of which requirements are met. Lessors must be registered in SAM.gov to be considered in a follow-on solicitation. - Notice status and timing: This is a request for information and expressions of interest, not a solicitation or request for proposals. Expressions of interest are due October 14, 2026; USDA anticipates acquiring space beginning around April 1, 2026, or in the following months.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Seeks Expressions of Interest for
Office space in the Milwaukee, WI area.
The purpose of this request for information is to acquire short term rental space for office space to accommodate USDA, Forest Service (FS) personnel. USDA is gauging the market availability of this requirement in Milwaukee or surrounding areas. USDA is interested in reviewing properties that meet the requirements listed below. Interested offers should clearly indicate if all requirements can be met. If they cannot, interested offeror should specifically identify the areas not included within the property.
USDA anticipates acquiring the new office space by 04/01/2026, or within the following months. This new/replacing requirement should include approximately 30,000 square feet total to accommodate:
81 Cubicles, each 48 square feet maximum size 18 Private Offices, each 120 square feet maximum size and at least 3 with locking solid wood core doors Conference rooms: One large (approximately 20 people) and two small (approximately 10 people) Break area with sink with space for fridges & countertop appliances Mail/Copy/ Supply Room(s) Storage Space: Approximately 5,000 sq. ft., of which: 100 sq ft storage space for Li-ion batteries 350 sq ft storage space with secured (keyed entry minimum requirement) with direct access from interior and exterior of the building Parking: Secure parking for 6 vehicles Server/IT Room, with internet & power wiring to desks and video conferencing/digital technologies capable Private conference spaces (i.e. telephone booths) (optional) Shower facilities (optional)
Submitted properties are preferred to be located within the delineated area description, described below. If no available options are within the delineated area, USDA will review properties within Waukesha and Milwaukee County if the proposed building better meets the agency need and results in possible cost savings.
Interested offers must submit the address, property description, available square footage, available parking, and photographs. Lessor must be registered in SAM.gov to be considered in follow on solicitation.

The West Boundary is the Milwaukee River, between Holton Street on the north end and the Kinnickinnic River on the south end. The South Boundary is the Kinnickinnic River, between the Milwaukee River to the west and Lake Michigan to the east. The East Boundary is Lake Michigan, between the Oak Leaf Trail on the north end (at a similar latitude to Kilbourne Avenue) and the Kinnickinnic River on the south end.
