Yolo County is seeking a provider to launch and operate a community-based Coordinated Specialty Care program for people experiencing first-episode psychosis. - Government buyer: Yolo County, through its Behavioral Health Services program, under the Behavioral Health Services Act Early Intervention program. - Requested service: Implement and operate a Coordinated Specialty Care for First Episode Psychosis (CSC-FEP) program consistent with California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) Early Psychosis Intervention Plus (EPI+) requirements. - Provide early identification, rapid engagement in treatment, and recovery-oriented supports. - Serve an estimated caseload of up to 30 individuals through a community- and team-based approach. - Provide at least four hours per month of in-community services; the program cannot be delivered entirely through telehealth. - Location and launch: A physical California location is required for Medi-Cal site certification, but it does not have to be in Yolo County. Outreach, engagement, and clinical services are expected to begin at contract execution while certification is underway. - Contract and reimbursement: The initial term is three years. The estimated maximum is approximately $500,000 per year, including Medi-Cal and non-Medi-Cal services billed through the County; this is an estimate, not a guaranteed amount. Reimbursement will use existing unbundled Specialty Mental Health Services rates. - OEMs and vendors: No manufacturers, OEMs, or prospective providers are named.
Description
Yolo County requests proposals from qualified organizations to implement and operate a Coordinated Specialty Care for First Episode Psychosis (CSC-FEP) program as a Behavioral Health Services Act Early Intervention program. The contractor will deliver evidence-based, community-based early psychosis intervention services consistent with California DHCS Early Psychosis Intervention Plus (EPI+) requirements, focusing on early identification, rapid treatment engagement, and recovery-oriented supports. A physical location in California is required for Medi-Cal site certification, although it need not be in Yolo County; services cannot be delivered as a fully telehealth program. The County anticipates a contract maximum of approximately $500,000 per year for each year of the initial three-year term, but this estimate is not guaranteed.
