Description
The Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources is seeking proposals for a one-time grant program supporting existing and newly forming local food policy councils and food system stakeholder organizations across Massachusetts. Funding is intended to increase organizational capacity, foster peer-to-peer connections and learning, and support initiatives that strengthen the Massachusetts local food system and build on related state and regional food plans. The Department intends to fund $250,000 in projects, with a maximum award of $40,000 per project; no match is required. Projects are expected to start in January 2027, and contracts will end no later than June 30, 2027.
