The U.S. Department of the Interior is establishing an agency-wide records-matching program to verify eligibility and help prevent improper payments. - Government buyer: U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI), Office of the Secretary. - The program covers 20 DOI programs administered by the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. - Program activities: DOI will compare records from applicable payroll, accounts receivable, acquisition, and grants systems with the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Do Not Pay Working System, administered by the Bureau of the Fiscal Service. - Purpose and safeguards: The comparisons will support prepayment or pre-award eligibility checks, prevention of improper payments, and related recovery activities. The relevant DOI program will independently verify potential matches before taking action. - OEMs and vendors: No commercial OEMs or vendors are identified. The Treasury system is a government system, not a commercial product identified for purchase. - Procurement scope: No products, quantities, part numbers, or contracted services are specified. This is a program notice rather than a procurement solicitation.
