Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce is self-initiating a circumvention inquiry to determine whether certain aluminum composite panels produced in China by Shanghai Alumetal Decorative Material Co. and exported to the United States circumvent antidumping and countervailing duty orders on common alloy aluminum sheet from China. The panels at issue have a low-density polyethylene core bonded between two aluminum sheets, are made from 1100 alloy, and have a cumulative thickness of no more than 6.3 mm. Commerce will notify U.S. Customs and Border Protection to continue suspension of liquidation for covered entries already subject to suspension and to apply the applicable cash deposit rate. Unless rescinded in whole or in part, Commerce intends to issue final determinations within 300 days of the notice’s publication.
