The EPA issued a final rule on phosphatidylcholine use in specified pesticide formulations. - Government buyer: None; this is a regulatory action, not a procurement opportunity. - Agency: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) - Office: Office of Pesticide Programs - The rule exempts phosphatidylcholine (CAS Reg. No. 97281-47-5) from pesticide residue tolerance requirements when used as an inert ingredient, specifically an adjuvant or carrier, in pesticide contraceptive formulations applied to cervids, porcines, raccoons, and bovines. - The exemption removes the requirement to establish a maximum permissible residue level when its conditions are met. - No OEMs, vendors, products, quantities, or services are identified as being requested.
Description
This final rule establishes an exemption from the requirement for a tolerance for residues of phosphatidylcholine when used as an inert ingredient (adjuvant/carrier) in pesticide contraceptive formulations applied to cervid, porcine, raccoon, and bovine. Compliance Services International, on behalf of SpayVac-for-Wildlife, Inc., petitioned the EPA for the exemption under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. The rule removes the need to establish a maximum permissible residue level when phosphatidylcholine is used in accordance with the exemption. Objections and requests for hearings must be received by December 1, 2026.
