Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Administration invites public comments on Nebraska’s proposed SNAP demonstration project under section 17(b) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008. The State proposes to exclude soda, soft drinks, and energy drinks from eligible SNAP food purchases, with implementation proposed for December 1, 2026, and to exclude candy beginning March 1, 2027.
