Presidential determination authorizing admission of up to 17,500 refugees in Fiscal Year 2027

Description

The determination authorizes the admission of up to 17,500 refugees to the United States during Fiscal Year 2027. Admissions are to be primarily allocated among Afrikaners from South Africa pursuant to Executive Order 14204. The determination states that admissions remain subject to other Presidential policies and actions, including requirements concerning verification, entry restrictions, and refugee resettlement. It also specifies that people processed under Executive Order 14204 may, if otherwise qualified, be considered refugees while within their countries of nationality or habitual residence.
