Description

Executive Order 14433 directs federal agencies to develop and implement measures to reduce tick and invasive mosquito populations and address diseases they transmit. The order calls for a campaign across the District of Columbia, including goals by 2028 to reduce specified invasive mosquito populations by 90 percent and tick populations by 50 percent. It also directs work on safe pest-control technologies, disease diagnostics and treatments, research programs, and options for labeling products containing significant amounts of alpha-galactose.
