Description

Ulster County seeks proposals from qualified architectural, engineering, and facility-planning firms to evaluate and recommend a facility solution for its long-term morgue and Medical Examiner operations. The study will compare renovation or reconfiguration of existing morgue space at the former hospital facility in Kingston with construction of a new facility on County-controlled property, including the Ulster County Health Department site; other credible alternatives may also be considered. The consultant will assess the alternatives on operational, technical, regulatory, schedule, risk, and financial factors, recommend a preferred option, and identify the steps needed to advance it through negotiation, design, permitting, funding, construction, and occupancy. The County may separately authorize the selected consultant for subsequent design, procurement, or implementation services, subject to approvals, funding, and procurement requirements.
