DLA Aviation Solicitation for CHINOOK First-Stage Carriers

DLA Aviation is seeking CHINOOK first-stage carrier components for the U.S. military helicopter system. - Government buyer: Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation, Huntsville, Alabama. - Product: CHINOOK first-stage carrier, part number 145D0104-3; NSN 1615-01-112-2995. - Intended minimum quantity: 9 units. - Delivery destination: Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. - OEM and named sources: The Boeing Company is the identified OEM. The notice also names Boeing Distribution Services, Inc. and Heligear Acquisition Co. doing business as Northstar Aero as restricted sources. - Notable requirements: Production lead time for 9 units is 990 days after award with First Article Testing, or 660 days without testing. The Government says it does not own the technical data needed to source the part more broadly and considers reverse engineering uneconomical. Offerors must meet prequalification requirements. - Contract period: Three-year Indefinite Delivery Requirements contract.

Production Lead Time (PLT) with First Article Testing is 9 each, 990 Days After Contract Award (DACA). PLT without First Article Testing is 9 each, 660 DACA with deliveries to TINKER AFB, OK, 73145-8000.
