The South Carolina Forestry Commission is seeking one contractor to recondition Forest Service Road 1058 in Sumter National Forest. - Government buyer: State of South Carolina, South Carolina Forestry Commission (SCFC); work is in the Enoree Ranger District, Union County, South Carolina. - OEMs and vendors: No OEMs, manufacturers, or contractor vendors are named. The U.S. Forest Service must approve the award. - Requested work: Recondition 1.334 miles of road, including grading and aggregate surfacing, culvert replacement and cleaning, drainage and scour repairs, roadside brushing and mowing, signs, and restoration of disturbed areas. - Key quantities: 240 tons of aggregate; 100 tons of Class II rip-rap; six culverts to remove; 319 linear feet of new culverts across three specified sizes; and related earthwork, drainage, vegetation, and signage items. - Notable requirements: The contract covers the entire project as one all-inclusive price. Culverts must be ordered within 14 days of award, and the work has a 90-day performance period. Award is to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder and is contingent on U.S. Forest Service approval.
