Description
The Environmental Protection Agency is approving revisions to the Missouri State Implementation Plan concerning control of nitrogen oxide (NOX) emissions from large stationary internal combustion engines. The revisions update reporting, recordkeeping, and compliance requirements; incorporate other state rules by reference; add rule-specific definitions; revise restrictive or duplicative language; and make administrative wording changes. They also add an exemption for certain spark-ignited internal combustion engines. The final approval takes effect November 2, 2026, under the Clean Air Act.
