Description
The County of Ocean is requesting qualifications for Special Conflict/Litigation Counsel Services for a one-year contract. Services will be provided on an as-needed basis when the Office of County Counsel cannot represent the County because of a conflict or scheduling issue, or when it determines that special counsel may handle a matter more effectively. Required experience includes at least ten years representing and defending governmental entities, including civil rights, employment, tort, workers’ compensation, administrative, mediation, arbitration, trial, and appellate matters. Proposals must be submitted electronically through the County’s OpenGov portal by October 22, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Eastern time.
