Star Meadow Cabin and Bunkhouse MEP Renovation and Utility Installation

The USDA Forest Service is seeking a contractor to renovate the Star Meadow Cabin and bunkhouse and complete MEP and utility installations at Flathead National Forest in Montana. - Government buyer: USDA Forest Service, Flathead National Forest, Tally Lake Ranger District. - Scope: Design, installation, testing, and commissioning for hydronic radiant and forced-air heating, propane service and fireplaces, well-based water supply, plumbing and sewer connections, electrical upgrades, excavation, and related cabin and bunkhouse renovation. - Named OEMs and manufacturers: Navien (NCB-190/060H combi-boiler); Napoleon (Haliburton GDS28 propane heaters/fireplaces); Taco (008-BC6 circulation pump option); Grundfos (15-42 BUC7 circulation pump option); and Midwest (JX1-1.25 pitless unit). Equivalent products are allowed for certain specified equipment. - Key quantities and specifications: One combi-boiler; two GDS28 propane heaters/fireplaces; one submersible well pump; one pitless unit; one external circulation pump; one air handler rated at a minimum 1,500 CFM; four hardwired, interconnected smoke/CO alarms; one 20-circuit electrical panelboard; and one kitchen faucet. The option schedule includes 160 square feet of wall insulation, 600 square feet of floor insulation, and 600 square feet of hydronic radiant-floor heating work, including Zone 3 tubing. - Notable requirements: Provide complete, operational systems, including controls, piping, ductwork, venting, trenching, appurtenances, testing, balancing, and commissioning.
